EPOXY RESIN PLANTS
 

Epoxy Resins are thermosetting viseious liquids or brittle solids of which most widely used are those delivered from the condansation reaction between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol. However other polyots such as aliphatic glycols and novolac resins can be used in place of bisphenol.

Epoxy resin are supplid as either liquid or solids depending on the resin type and en duse applications. They are converted to thermoset state by any of the numerous compounds referred to as curing agent.
The conversion is accomplished at room temperature or at elevated temperature. Further modifications is possible by using diluents, plasticizers, filters and other additives. 

 Epoxy resins are soluble in ketone, esters and other alcoholes. The major application of epoxy resins are in the field of adhesives, surface coatings, lamination nad casting.Raw materials - mainly epichlorohydrin and bisphenol.
